Goals
Here are some preliminary goals we’ve established for FACES:
1. Establish a seasonal marketplace where artisans/vendors can display and sell their goods and services.
2. Use neighborhood space (LaunchPad*) to provide a haven for children to spend their after-school hours getting help with homework and projects.
3. Have local artisans/vendors contribute their time to teach their skills and help children develop their own creative ideas.
4. Develop a program whereby local artisans and neighborhood merchants will donate their goods or services to reward children for outstanding schoolwork.
* LaunchPad, located on Franklin Avenue (between Sterling Pl. and Park Pl.), is a creative gathering space focusing on community programs, the arts, technology and anything else that captures the imagination.
